About the role
As a Security Engineer your main job at Curios will be to help customers with their network environment; how to optimize security enforcement on the network in order to mitigate the security gaps. You will focus on security intelligence, anomaly hunting and incident response. You must leverage intuition, security knowledge and a broad array of tools and advanced security techniques to uncover malicious activity.

Need to have
– Bachelor or master’s degree
– Excellent interpersonal skills: able to work in a team, work under pressure and be flexible
– Fluency in English and Dutch or French
– Working/in-depth knowledge of information security protection/detection and authentication systems (firewalls, IDS, IPS, anti-virus, etc.)
– Strong technical knowledge of networking protocols. Deep knowledge of TCP/IP and related network protocols: knowledge of standard network protocols like TCP, ARP, ICMP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP, SNMP etc., and accompanying protocol/packet analysis/manipulation tools
– In-depth knowledge of current operating environments (Microsoft, Linux, & OS X)
– Exceptional analytical and critical thinking, willingness to challenge status quo

Nice to have
– Experience with security tools (vulnerability management, EDR, SIEM) such as: Splunk, Qradar, Tenable Nessus, Tripwire, Carbon Black
– Security certificates of firewall vendors
– Experience with working in large IT enterprise environments
– Knowledge of commonly-accepted information security principles and practices, as well as techniques attackers would use to identify vulnerabilities, gain unauthorized access, escalate privileges and access restricted information.
– Experience performing technical analysis involving threat event data and evaluating malicious activity.
– Working understanding of database systems, application system development and installation/implementation processes.

About the role

As a Security Analyst your main job at Curios will be to help customers with their security information: how to make sense of all the information and analyse this into actions that will close the security gaps in their environment.

Your tasks will vary between:

  • Vulnerability data analysis
  • Log data analysis
  • Design secure network architectures
  • Security Assessments

Need to have

  • Bachelor or master’s degree
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
  • Strong interpersonal skills: able to work in a team, work under pressure and be flexible
  • Fluency in English and Dutch or French
  • Strong technical knowledge with regards to network, windows server and linux server
  • Good knowledge of firewall technologies

Nice to have

  • Experience with security tools such as: Splunk, Qradar, Tenable Nessus, Tripwire, Carbon Black
